When The Heart Guides The Hand?

Without a doubt inocence is a glimpse of fresheness ,this is TEEN age,and it means to bloom,to become someone else, stop being a child and become and adult ,the changes ,life happening every minute passing by,that's what came through my mind while I was watching Virgin Suicides .The Lisbon sisters, members of a family of middle class, typic lifestyle of the seventies, living in a quiet and safe neighborhood,it's an antithesis because all of them commit suicide, in spite of living in a' good' condition .

Something to note in this movie apart from suicide and all the iconography, there is a sort of hidden eroticism underneath innocence ,overprotection, they parents used to ban their behavior, isolation from the real world changes their inner world and becomes the executioner . People allways wish what they can't haveor what is forbidden and sin tastes better than sweetest honey ,forbidden is the most desired, enjoying what is done in secret,Lux is here the 'rebel ',all in all...this film brought to my mind the term'lolita' ,for some reason I felt the vibes .

Now japanese culture came to my mind like a rush, not only the animes but also the fashion magazines, here I note the childlike faces of the models , the 'lolicon' aesthetics which is also asociated with the kawaii aesthetics, those are strong at Japan but I found something elses that called my attention while surfing on the internet , I discovered another term called enjo kosai ...

The term enjo kosai is widely known in Japan and it means ' dating for money '.Here a extract of an article: According to one sociologist, "these men do nothing but work their entire lives. When they have a little money they want to treat themselves. They choose these girls as if they were objects to satisfy their desires and this is symbolic of what Japanese culture is today."

Many girls are simply "companions" who sit in coffee shops and chat with older men for $100 or so on "compensated dates" and sometimes hold their hand''.

All these girls do is take easy money to buy expensive clthes and sometimes designer bags and stuff, the disgusting society of consumism everyone... right?

The term enjo kosai comes from the lolicon(ロリコン?) aesthetics ,lolicon is a type of manga in which the females have pre puber charatheristics,in which these characters don't show by themselves pure erotism,it is somewhat accidental. The teenage girl in preppy school clothes means sexuality to japanese people ,try 'japanese schoolgirl' on google and the results will be pictures much more suggestive than the following here...

Maybe we could note the book Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, all this hidden filthy thoughts ... the characters on this story Humbert and Dolores 'lola' ,disgrace, death,at the end they both die...after all these statements about the 'lolita' aestethics ... the heart shaped glasses (on the cover of the book) is just one of the icons of all time

Then ,I inmediately associated these with the video 'heart shaped glasses', Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson - 2007.

Loved -hated by thousands and who used to be an 'idol' in my teenage years,Marilyn Manson, this video that was broadcasted on MTV for the single Heart Shaped Glasses, from the record Eat me Drink me.I remember when I saw Evan Rachel Wood's outfit for the first time and inmediately fell in love with it,it's a sort of 50's vintage style ,lolita and dark gothic aesthetics maybe...here some screen caps
